Living Stone Books is part of the parent company: Light the Dark Pty Ltd where the team have over 16 years of experience in bookselling and publishing. This new list is a specific imprint for Christian and faith-based fiction for our local (Australian and New Zealander) families and schools by our local authors.
Living Stone Books will have three different age categories:
- middle grade fiction,
- young adult fiction and
- adult fiction.
All of these will be with the specific audience of Christian families wanting fiction to read that is set locally. This means it is has a niche market but we hope you find something interesting here!

Living Stone Books is a traditional publisher paying authors royalties on all sales, but will be a primarily digital list. By printing based on demand and interest we avoid wastage and returns in a bookselling industry where books not sold in a bookstore are returned and pulped. Our main sales will be focussed at ebook, audiobook and print as required. Books aimed at schools will be printed and accessible to young people who still, on the whole, prefer a printed book!
We hope to produce a sustainable new list that suits families all over the world, even though our books will bring a uniquely Australian flavour.
As Living Stone Books can only release about 6-8 books a year this full website, christianfiction.com.au, is an opportunity to showcase other books also published by a range of other companies. To specifically find Living Stone Books, within this website, use the brand tab. Our first books will be planned for release mid to late 2026.
